The greatest sign of success for a teacher… is to be able to say, ‘The children are now working as if I did not exist.’
– Maria Montessori

I see early childhood education as the foundation for lifelong learning, where every child’s rights, voice, and wellbeing are at the centre. I believe each child is a unique individual and strive to create inclusive, respectful learning environments that reflect who they are and what matters to them.
As an Early Childhood Teacher, I see it as my responsibility to advocate for and support each child’s development. This means planning and implementing programs that stimulate, challenge, and respond to the diverse talents, cultures, needs, and interests of the children I teach.
I value warm, nurturing, and unhurried environments where children feel a deep sense of belonging, safety, and independence. Guided by relational pedagogy, trauma-informed practices, and attachment theory, I believe strong and secure relationships are the foundation of children’s wellbeing and learning.
Collaboration is central to my practice: with children, so their voices shape our shared spaces and learning; with families, to build trust and equality; and with communities, to create meaningful partnerships that strengthen support for every child.
At the heart of my philosophy is a commitment to honouring children—by listening to them, advocating for them, and creating spaces where they can grow, thrive, and truly be themselves.
